THANK YOU MICH!
In a fast-paced society like ours, it is always easy to forget the little things in life. I'm very fortunate to have a sweet, lovely and understanding companion, who was constantly out in the field with me on all my photography outings. It does not matter whether it's under the hot sun, through heavy down pour, enduring the freezing cold temperatures or the torture of mosquito bites, she is always there. I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for being there for me always. THANK YOU MICH! ;-0

A New Year Update
Hi all, it is a brand new year 2004! ;) And this "hatchling" of a site is here to greet you! A little update on us: Mich has just begun her new job over at NIE, and Fred is back to his usual job in the office. It's a little tough as our working places are literally on opposite ends of the island. We're now left with one camera, in anticipation of the new D2H. :P So now, Fred shoots and Mich does the spotting! Fred's been recently on the tail of the illusive Crimson Sunbird and the Common Kingfisher (not so common after all!), so much so that even raptors flying overhead don't matter anymore! Hee... It is a brand new year for us and we hope that everything will only get better in the economy, in our lives, bird spotting, etc etc. We hope that your year goes well! And of course, do stay tuned for more updates! :)
Report on Processing Performance
Both of us are Mac lovers. We love the OS, the machine etc etc. You get the main idea. :P Being photography buffs ourselves, we often face the nagging debate with our friends, on whether the processing performance is better on a Mac or on a PC. Rob Galbraith recently did a review on the processing performances on high end Mac/PC computers. Read the article, and find out more!

See the Light
Being a nature photographer, one often wakes up early in the morning when the lighting is weak. It is important to have a good high quality light product to guide your way, in case you fall into a lake! This article talks about a certain brand of torchlight, "Streamlight" as recommended by the author. Read more if you want to know more about the torchlight that is ideal for nature photography.
