D70 hits town!
To all fellow photographers,
The D70 hits town TODAY! Do give your nearest Nikon dealer a visit NOW! We heard that it "was a very sizeable shipment but due to the number of pre-orders in shops, there may not be many "non-reserved" sets floating around in this initial wave."
So anyone wishing to get a hold of this new toy, do be early!
"We just got word from Nikon Singapore that the long-awaited D70 with AF-S 18-70mm lens kit will be available for sale on Friday, 26 Feb 2004.
The first batch of D70 will be available only in a kit package (ie. bundled with the AF-S 18-70mm lens) at a Suggested Retail Price of S$2288. The body-only package will be available soon at a SRP of S$1888."

Also fixes a problem for Mac users in which IPTC-format caption information written into RAW files by applications such as Photo Mechanic and iView MediaPro would not carry through to Photoshop's File Info when Camera Raw 2.0 was used to process the photos.
