Adobe DNG

The Digital Negative (DNG), a new, publicly available archival format for the raw files generated by digital cameras has just been launched by Adobe. By addressing the lack of an open standard for the raw files created by individual camera models, DNG helps ensure that photographers will be able to access their files later. Do head down to the Adobe DNG webpage for more information.

Migration completed!

Finally, the migration of this website to a new server has been completed. We're keeping our fingers crossed as our domain name was registered with the previous service provider, whose service, in our opinion leaves much to be desired. One lesson learnt was to register ones own domain name, you'll get better control over the server you choose to use. :-)

Experimenting with CSS

We are currently experimenting the use of CSS on this site, with the aim to write slimmer codes and better compatibility with a wider range of browsers. Thanks to our friend Jimmy, who has provided us with valuable tips, this site appears to be working very well. We look forward to the full migration of this site to a new server within this few days..... thanks to the "support" provided by our previous service provider. :-P

Another friend had just "Switched"!

Apple made computer easier for us, no doubt about it! The good news is that another of our friend had just switched over to the Mac platform..... HURRAY! We just can't forget the happy look on his face when he first opens up the box of his new PowerBook G4 that we helped purchased. We're really glad to know that he has no problem in his transition from wintel to Mac, Yeah! :-P

Upset with our webhost!

We're really upset with our current webhosting company! After transfering of payment for our domain name registration, dropping them up to 5 emails and waiting for 2 weeks! We've yet to receive any update from the company! This level of service is really unacceptable! We will never recommend any of our friends to this webhosting company ever again! :-(

Our new site is almost ready!

We've been hard at work on our new website! A lot of coding has to be done as we want to make it easier for us to update and maintain the site. The only hurdle now is with our domain name transfer, which we were told should only take a few days........ :-(

Sightings: Raptors & possible Black Laughingthrush

After a long break, Fred finally went on a hunting (photography lah) trip with his buddies today. There wasn't much photography, but we did sighted a couple of Brahminy kites, Osprey, White-bellied Sea Eagle and possibly a Black Laughingthrush. It was really rewarding being able to see these graceful birds of prey soaring freely in the sky!
