Serial ATA ExpressCard Adapter
FirmTek announced two new product at NAB this year. SeriTek/2SM2-E is a SATA ExpressCard host adapter that will allow users of the MacBook Pro to connect to their external SATA drives or drive arrays. The other product announced was the SeriTek/2SE2-E, a two-port SATA PCI Express adapter for dual-core Power Mac G5 systems. According to Firmtek, both products will be available in the 3rd quarter this year.
Apple introduced 17-inch MacBook Pro
Apple has introduced the 17-inch MacBook Pro at NAB. Featuring a 17-inch LCD screen, 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo processor, built-in iSight video camera, ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics chip with 256MB and many other drool-worthy features. It will be retailing at SGD$4,988 when it hit the stores.

Offering a reproduction ratio of up to 1:1, it will be an indispensable lens for macro photographers. It would also be interesting to see how this lens perform in portraiture photography.

Mac do Windows with Boot Camp
Yes, you've heard it right! Mac does do Windows, and natively too. With Apple switching to Intel processors, dual booting to Windows natively is now possible. What you need is Boot Camp, a public beta that Apple has just made available for download here.

iSync supports more phones
Apple had just released Mac OS X 10.4.6 update and with it came iSync 2.2. The good news with this release is that more mobile phones are supported, this includes Nokia 8800, 6280 and many more. Hurray!!!
