Time Machine

indeximac20060807.jpg

Making its first appearance in Leopard, the application called Time Machine will do regular back ups for everything on your Mac. It will also take you back in time to restore your system. Look for files you may have deleted or lost in the app's browser, or even flip through multiple versions of the same project and you might also want to get a snapshot of your entire system.

Cool huh? :-)

Happy Birthday, Singapore!

logo_black.gif

Happy 41st birthday, Singapore!

You have seen us through our trials, tribulations and happier moments. Thank you for being our home and everything to us! :-)

On a note, we took time to read through mrbrown's "I am Singaporean" meme and were touched by the familiarity of some posts and decided to post our own here:

"When I get on any mode of public transport, I quickly fall into a deep slumber and still know when to wake up for my stop."

"When I was young, I saw the Merlion and wondered. Now I am older and I still wonder."

"You can take us out of Singapore, but you can never take the Singapore out of us."

We are Singaporeans.
So say, we all! ^.^

Friends

ODB_2006_08_small.jpg

The Old Testament characters Job and Daniel had something in common, each had three significant friends. Job’s friends became a thorn in his flesh, offering him condemnation when he needed compassion and companionship. As Job struggled with loss and grief, his friends seemed bent on intensifying his pain rather than helping him in his adversity.

Daniel’s three friends were very different. Taken captive together, Daniel and his companions supported and strengthened one another in difficult times. They stood together in honoring God and in prayer, and in refusing to bow before the king’s image.

That’s the kind of friend we need. However, it is an uphill struggle in recent times, where liars and manipulative people are rife, to find a true friend. With that in mind, how can YOU be a true friend to others? And what kind of friend am I? Who needs you to be a friend today?

Lord, help me be the kind of friend
That makes my friend secure,
So he can find new strength and hope,
His trials to endure. —D. De Haan

A true friend is like support to a leaning wall.

Mightier Mouse

index360scroll220050802.gif

Our favourite fruit company has released the wireless Mighty Mouse! When it was first launched, it was perfect and did everything that was ever wished for in a mouse. Now that it's wireless, it's perfect!

With Bluetooth technology, it now goes everywhere. The tracking is based on laser technology that gives you more accuracy and responsiveness on most surfaces. And thanks to its Scroll Ball, the mouse has 360-degree scrolling capability perfectly positioned to roll smoothly under just one finger.

Best feature of all? Touch-sensitive technology detects where you’re clicking and transforms the Mighty Mouse into a two-button one. In addition, force-sensing buttons on either side allow you to activate programs at an instant!

Battery Exchange Program

Apple.gifAttention to all 15" MacBook Pro users!

"Apple has initiated a worldwide battery exchange program for certain rechargeable batteries that were sold for use with 15-inch MacBook Pro computer systems from February 2006 through May 2006.

We recently discovered that some 15-inch MacBook Pro batteries supplied to Apple do not meet our high standards for battery performance. To give our users the best experience possible, we will replace these batteries for customers free of charge."
