GV Grand worth it?

spiderman3.jpg
We recently gave GV Grand a try, and watched Spiderman 3 there. Both of us agreed that it was an awesome experience. The huge recline-able seats were very comfortable, the service was excellent, the sound was great and the projection was fine too. Do remember to order the brownie, it is delicious. ;-P

Pointing fingers!

I've read an article on newspaper recently which leads me to this question. Are we, a generation of finger pointers? The article/complaint was about how a certain bridge was a danger to public safety, due to its construction and so on. Don't get me wrong, I felt that the writer has the best of interest for all. And I think he is right to have brought up the topic.

The complaint also brought back memories of not too long ago, when there was calls for doors to be installed between the track and boarding platform for all MRT stations because of some accident. It strikes me that, whenever there is an accident or something bad happened. Most of us, locals in this little country are very quick at pointing the fingers at somebody or some organisation. "Someone" should have done "this" or "that" to prevent the accident/situation.

My thoughts are: Why don't we question ourselves, and see whether we could have prevented the situation from happening in the first place? We should be more responsible to our own actions, instead of pointing fingers don't you think?

Noise - Raising the noise floor

Noise generates two "colours" of noise, pink and white. Do check out Wikipedia to know more about the differences between the two. Once you click "On", Noise generates..... noise that sounds like static. The noise generator raises the noise floor, causing other sound to appear softer after a while. This is because our brain adjusts our hearing to compensate for the background noise. This may help some of us relax, concentrate or sleep better. Apparently, noise cancelling headphones use the same technology too! Give it a try, and experiment with the different "colour" and level to see whether it works for you. :-P
