Time Machine & Aperture conflict

Apple announced that running Time Machine backup or restore operations while Aperture is running may lead to inconsistencies in the Aperture database. The solution is to set Time Machine to exclude the Aperture Library from automatic backups. To do so:

Bike rack for Defender

963s.jpgWhile shopping for a bike rack for our Defender, I came across the Thule 963 - Spare Me Spare Tire Carrier. This rack looks well designed, but the adapter is too small for the defender's wheel pattern and will not fit. To use 963, we'll have to fabricate a new adapter. Time for some designing and fabricating. :-)

The Touch

07-ipod_touch.jpgThe iPod Touch is gorgeous! During lunch, my friend Adrian whipped out an iPod Touch to show me and I was left drooling! The form factor is really nice, slim with a big screen. I played with it for awhile, sliding my fingers all over the place. Scrolling album art in cover flow, zooming in and out of photographs and almost checking out web pages using WiFi (spoilt by the lack of wireless connection). Verdict... Thumbs Up of course!
