Sigma DP1 Reviewed
DPReview has published a review on the Sigma DP1 compact digital camera. We saw the DP1 while we were in Japan, it is a pretty good compact camera but pricing is a tad high presently. It would be a good buy once the price fall to a more affordable level. :-)

An afternoon drive
After a nice lunch at Uno Beef House @ TP, we decided to go for a little drive around west Singapore (a.k.a. LCK and the likes). This was when we saw this lorry and its precious cargo! Quite hilarious as we didn't know that it was cows. Mich thought it was some poor fellows under a gunny sack sheltering from the sun and well, Fred didn't notice anything. We both burst out laughing after the realization and quickly took the chance to snap this picture. :-) Enjoy. Poor cows! They kept swaying to and fro on the truck.

A Black Stallion
Saw this Black Stallion at a workshop today, it had a nice upgrade from Milltek and the roar from its 4.2L V8 FSI engine was simply awesome! Thumbs (and toes) up for the Fifth Gear's 2007 Car of the Year!! :-) Which by the way, is our favourite motoring show. Catch it if you can!

Mother's Day & Jessie's BD
It took weeks of advanced planning between the ever-so-busy sister of mine, Jessie and my mum for the joint celebration of Mother's Day and Jessie's birthday. We had wanted to visit the infamous Melben Crab @ AMK, but knowing that we couldn't reserve tables in advance and had to queue for at least half an hour? NAH... Instead, we made our way to a then-hidden gem, Seafood Paradise @ Defu Lane 10. We had a wonderful meal and everyone enjoyed the Honey Peppered Ribs and their famous Butter Crabs. The food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic, kudos to the incessant banter and the "pig talk". Highly recommended! Reservation is advised. :-)

Awesome ride
After a nice breakfast, we headed out to a local car workshop with our friends. Here's an image of our favourite hot hatch the VW Golf GTI and the newest beast in town, the Godzilla itself, the Nissan Skyline R35 GTR. Both cars look good in white, I must say. :-)

Quaife differential for DSG gearbox
Quaife Engineering recently announced an Automatic Torque Biasing differential for current VW or Audi cars using the six speed semi-automatic DSG gearbox. Quaife states that the ATB differential enhances the dynamic driving experience, enabling drivers to accelerate earlier and delaying the activation of electronic stability control systems. It alsp helps in reducing understeer during cornering, as well as helping to stabilize the car under heavy braking.

Reunited with an old pal
It was a chance not to be missed! Last week, my friend called and asked whether I'm interested for an off roading session. How could I refuse, especially when I get the chance to be reunited with Jar jar. Although it was just for a couple of hours. The feeling was great! Just as before, Jar jar performed flawlessly through the difficult terrain. I'm sure the new owner will take good care of Jar jar for many years to come. Till we meet again, old pal!

Mayday roadtrip
We were hoping that by setting off for our road trip in the wee hours of the morning, it will allow us to avoid the great traffic jam at the checkpoint that was expected on Labour day. Unfortunately, there are many others who had the same thought and what we got was pictured above.
Luckily for us, the traffic en route was not too bad and we manage to arrive at our destination for breakfast as planned. The drive was pleasant and the company was great. Happy May Day everyone.
